"The II VCF Academy World Cup is more than just a soccer tournament. It is about being with the Valencia CF family".
An emotional final awards gala brought the II VCF Academy World Cup to a close, closing a week in which the VCF Soccer Academies and different teams from America, Asia and Europe shared a full training program, multicultural activities and unforgettable days of competition.
"It's not just about the international competition, but being able to prepare and work closely with Valencia CF coaches. This makes it more than just a tournament. It's about being with the Valencia CF family," says Joe Campos, director of the VCF Academy in Seattle.
As Joe Campos explains, this II VCF Academy World Cup has been more than just a soccer tournament. It has been an example of brotherhood and integration, as for a few days the Ciutat Esportiva de Paterna has brought together more than 150 U-12 children from Japan, Italy, Canada, Greece, Cyprus, the Netherlands, Belgium and different parts of the U.S. such as Houston, New York or Seattle, all under the same badge: that of Valencia CF.
"We feel Valencia as our home. We are always more than happy to be able to return here and for the children to enjoy this experience in which we are filled with culture by participating with so many teams from around the world," said Mauricio Mata, director of the VCF Academy in Houston.
"The facilities are fantastic. They use Valencia CF to make it easy for players from London to have this opportunity to see elite soccer here," says Andrew Kuprewicz, director of the Academy 1st 11.
In this II VCF Academy World Cup they have not only enjoyed the pitch, but they have also been able to visit the city of Valencia. "It's a beautiful city to visit. Valencia is one of my favorite places in Spain. The Valencians are very open and friendly, they make us feel at home," said Chafik Mihoubi, VCF Academy Canada director.
"Coming to Valencia is always a pleasure. The city is amazing, the people are friendly and the weather is great. It's a great experience," says Leigh Pilkington, director of the VCF Academy New York.
VCF ACADEMY PROGRAMS
The II VCF Academy World Cup is part of the actions carried out by VCF Academy Programs.
The VCF Soccer Academy Programs that the VCF Academy has in strategic markets in North America, Europe, Africa and Asia are part of the VCF Soccer Academy Programs that help to expand the Valencia CF brand and what its colours symbolise around the world. This Internationalisation Strategy has been a finalist in the World Football Summit Awards 2022.
The main objective of the VCF Soccer Academy Programs, in addition to expanding the image of Valencia CF and its philosophy around the world, is to take the training methods of Valencia CF to any part of the planet and spread the values that have always accompanied this Club, making the participants enjoy and learn from the hand of the best professionals of the Valencia CF Academy, one of the best in Europe according to the latest reports of the CIES Football Observatory.
The Valencia CF Soccer Camps, the VCF Soccer Academy and the Sports Consultancy services are just some examples of this great project.
